Signal Failure Paralyzes Coastal Train Services

General Manager of Railways Dr.Lalithasiri Gunaruwan said that today’s train service on coastal line having long delays due to a signal failure.

” When CEB power goes off, generators should start automatically. But today due to some reason, those generators didn’t start properly soon after the CEB power cut off. Therefore railway signal system mainly on coastal line didn’t function properly” Dr.Gunaruwan further added.
