Kosgoda Station & Station Master Attacked
According to the Railway Main Controlling Room, Kosgoda Station Master and the Kosgoda Railway Station were attacked by a group of thugs around 3.30am today. Station Master was later admitted to the nearest hospital for treatments and the Station was temporally closed.
GMR Dr.Lalithasiri Gunaruwan said due to above incident, there will be a delay in all trains services operating on costal line. However he said immediate actions have been already taken to get down another RSM from Ambalangoda Station in order to operate the train service at Kosgoda.
Meanwhile, OIC Kosgoda Police said that one person was arrested in connection with the above attack. The reason for the above attack was not yet disclosed, OIC added.
