Ticket fare increase from June

Railway ticket fares are to be increased with effect from first of June. This information was revealed today by the Ministry of Transport.

The fare increase amount has not yet been finalised and is still being discussed by the Railway Department and the Ministry of Transport. Nevertheless, the increase will be less than the 17.7% increase in bus fares by the CTB.
