Coastal line trains only upto B’pitiya
Between August 1 and 4, during the SAARC Summit , all trains arriving in Colombo on the main line from points north of Colombo will not terminate at Maradana as earlier planned but proceed a stage further to Colombo Fort. Trains to Colombo along the coast line will terminate at Bambalapitiya which neighbours the High Security Zone declared for SAARC at Kollupitiya.
Passengers arriving by trains on the coastal line are advised to travel by bus beyond Bambalapitiya. The Kollupitiya and Slave Island railway Stations would be closed from August 1 to 4, according to a notice issued by Police headquarters.
