Closure of railway crossing
The Kiribathkumbura railway crossing between Kadugannawa and Peradeniya of the main railway line will be partly and fully closed from October 17 to 19 due to repairs, the Sri Lanka Railways said.
The crossing will be partly closed from October 17 at 7.a.m to next day 7a.m, fully closed from 7.a.m. on 18 to 7.a.m the next day and partly closed from 7.a.m to 10.30p.m on 19.
During this period, vehicles plyng from Colombo will be diverted to Kandy via Elugoda, Penideniya and vehicles towards Colombo from Kandy will be diverted from Peradeniya, Penideniya, Elugoda and Kiribathkumbura.
