The Brotherhood Train reaches its destination
The Brotherhood Train left from Matara in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka on Saturday (22) collecting essential items for the soldiers fighting in the battlefronts of northern province and the civilians trapped in the war zone reached Medawachchiya in the North Central Province Monday (24) night.
The Manel Mal (Water Lilly) Movement in collaboration with the Patriotic National Movement organized the goodwill train to help the internally displaced Tamil people and the security forces in operation in northern Sri Lanka.
Public warmly greeted the train on its arrival at the Medawachchiya Station. Members of the Manel Mal Movement handed over the donations to officials of the Wanni Defence Headquarters.
The items collected for the internally displaced Tamil people will be taken by trucks to be distributed in the IDP camps.
