Repairs to level crossings in Kekirawa
December 24-26
Repairs to level crossing at Ihalagama B 213 Kekirawa/Thalawa Highway between 05 Km & 06 Km and 114 Mls 26 Chs on Railway Track between Kalawewa & Kekirawa Station will be carried out by the Railway Department from 7 a.m. on 24th December till 8.30 p.m. on 26th December.
In view of the above repair the level crossing will be partially closed from 7 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. on 24th December and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 25th December 2008, and will be totally closed from 4 p.m. on 25th December to 6 p.m. on 26th December for traffic, the Railway Department said.
During the period of partial closure, the traffic will be assisted over this level crossing and for the period of total closure the traffic will be diverted from Ihalagama to travel on Kalawewa road to Puliyankulama and turn to Pinpara road level crossing and connected to the Thalawa road at Hiripitiyagama.

Repairs to level crossing at Ihalagama via Thonigala Pulliar Junction highway at 114 Mls 33 Chs on Railway track between Kalawewa & Kekirawa Station will be carried out by the Railway Department from 7 a.m. on 27th December to 8.30 p.m. on 29th December 2008.
In view of the above the level crossing will be partially closed from 7 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. on 27th December and from 7 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. on 28th December 2008 and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on 29th December, and will be totally closed from 4 p.m. on 27th December to 6 p.m. on 28th December 2008 for traffic.
During the period of partial closure, the traffic will be assisted over this level crossing and for the period of total closure the traffic will be diverted along the roadway running from Kekirawa town to Marathankadawela and turned from Pulliar Junction to Thonigala Level crossing, the Railway Department said.
