Railway Museum to be opened today

The newly established `National Railway Museum’, at Technical Junction, Maradana will be opened by Transport Minister Dallas Alahapperuma today at 10 am.

Old Railway engines, carriages, equipment and various other items, used by the Railway Department for over 150 years will be displayed at the museum.

      Its so wonderful to have a Railway museum in sri lanka. I would realy like if u can inculude some pictures of the locomotives which we had long time ago.Such as I got to know we had a mini train from Nanu oya to Ragala and avissawella to opanayaka as well as aissawella to yatiyantota area.Which is just history ,the young genaration should know about.Any way good start and good luck.
