Railway to import 20 Power Sets for long distance travel
Sri Lanka Railway Department has decided to import 20 Power Sets that has the facilities for long distance service soon.
A spokesman for the Sri Lanka Railways said that an agreement was signed between the Sri Lanka Railway Department and an Indian Private Company in this regard.
The S-11 type Power Sets to be imported are capable of running long distances and have all facilities for the travelers.
As a first step, sixteen Power Sets would be imported from India at a cost of 56 million dollars.
