The Sagarika Express Train which was travelling from Matara to Matale through Colombo Fort derailed today at Polkotuwa, Beruwala. Due to the derailment all trains between Colombo Fort and Matara will be significently delayed.

A goods train derailed at Ahangama near Kataluwa on the coastal line this evening at around 3.15pm. The derailment occurred when two goods wagons jumped the rails.
