The Railway control room says the blast near Dehiwala was along a a rail track at Wasala Road, in Dehiwala.
According to the available information explosion occurred around 7.10 a.m and minor damages reported to the railway track, police sources added.

A bomb scare interrupted the Aluthgama bound train from Colombo in Moratuwa short while ago causing panic among hundreds of passengers who immediately vacated the train. Some passengers suffered minor injuries while rushing out of the train. It was later found that the bomb scare was a hoax.
